When and why did you start training for fighting? Happenstance. In 2012, my brother needed someone to wrestle with for his amateur title fight in Kansas. I was home for the fall, deciding on going back to school in the spring and was an All-State wrestler in high school. A fight fell out and he asked if I wanted to fight. I took a fight after only training a week and a half and got hooked in the sport.

What professional titles have you held? Legacy fighting alliance (LFA) 3x flyweight champ

Any accomplishments in amateur combat sports? AAU All-American track and field, Division 1 xc and track athlete, four-sport All-State athlete in one year

Any belts/ ranks in grappling disciplines? Jiu Jitsu – blue, Judo - yellow

What has been your toughest fight to date and why? Losing scholarship in college, becoming homeless and having to battle back to the life I wanted to make. In the UFC, versus Mokaev; I was battling personal demons and mental fatigue.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? My favorite martial artist is Max Holloway. He’s free in there and has found a way to make a fight out of every competition. His career is the one I would like to see myself emulate the most. Samart Payakaroon, Pernell Whitaker, Dom Cruz and Jon jones. Defensive and intellectuals of the craft!

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Yes, I was in school for Graphic Communication/Design

What was your job before you started fighting? Many jobs with whoever allowed me to train enough, and to eat, get to the gym and have a place to live - carpentry, car tech, HS wrestling coach for five years, retail.

Personal Life / Background: Being a dad of a 14-month-old, impacting the STL community in any way (putting together an event for November), playing League of Legends, writing to beats and rapping, applying myself to anything creative (graphic designer)
